Peaceful environment is getting rare now a days. Whenever I try to find a new place to visit and explore in the hope of getting away from crowded city, I ended up getting crowds over there. But as it is said “Try again, try again, if at first you don’t succeed, try again”. So I don’t give up and I found a peaceful destination which is a fabulous beach with serene surroundings and tranquil atmosphere where you can meditate with nature. Doesn’t it sound fascinating? You might have visited many beaches in Maharashtra but most of the popular ones are usually crowded and spoiled by the visitors who don’t mind making it dirty. But the beach I am talking about is not that popular and that is the beauty of this place. It is quite unspoiled, pollution free, spectacular and peaceful. What else one would ask for? This beach is known as Bordi Beach. It can also be called Bordi- Dahanu Beach as they are quite close to each other. The beach is extended on a stretch of seventeen kilometres. Bordi – Dahanu Beach comes under Thane District of Maharashtra state.The distance between Bordi and Dahanu is 15 kilometres which takes just half an hour to complete. One can enjoy beaches at both these places. The beaches are quite tidy and less crowded. No pollution is there and the best part is the extensive fruit orchards enhance the beauty of the place. This belt is popular for its Chikoo production. The endless beach stretch gives you a chance to enjoy the rhythm of waves without any interruption. The entire beach line is quite safe to get into the water and swim because water of sea doesn’t rise above your west till half kilometres from the beach. Capture the beauty of the place with the moments of self. Cool breeze from the sea side takes away the stress of life and takes you to another level of pleasure with nature. Though the sand at the beach is not silvery white but it is very natural and brownish. The feeling is the same.Close by situated a place known as Mecca which is a place belonging to Zoroastrians. Many tourists visit this place because it has a grand temple that houses a thousand years old sacred fire which is alive since then. It is an important place of worship for Zoroastrians. It is said that in ancient time Persian and Iranian communities settled here and thus the cultural impact of these streams seen here.
