New Delhi: Assotech Realty, the Delhi NCR based real estate company, has revealed its plans to invest Rs 100 crore in the constructing service apartments in Shirdi in Maharashtra.A service apartment is a type of furnished apartment that is cheaper than a hotel but services and luxury of daily needs, same as provided by a hotel, are available there. Service apartments can be used for short or long term stay. Nowadays while travelling people want more luxury as well as privacy. Assotech Realty is funding in on this popular trend. The company is planning to build service apartments in three segments: business, leisure and pilgrimage.The apartment in Shirdi is included in the pilgrimage segment. The apartment, called ‘Sandal Suites’, will have 125 units over an area of 2.5 acre. It will be located within walking distance of the Shirdi Shrine. A small Sai Temple, a Satsang Hall, Meditation Areas and Pooja area will also be included within the apartment complex.Assotech Realty Managing Director Neeraj Gulati said, “This is an opportunity to not only own a home in the spiritual town but also make it earn valuable income from the asset so created. The investment is meant to bring recurring returns to the tune of 18-20 per cent year on year basis with expected daily rental between Rs 5 to 6 thousand approximately.”Pilgrimage segment service apartments will also be constructed in Tirupati Balaji (Andhra Pradesh) and Katra (Jammu). Leisure segment service apartments will be constructed in Goa and Kochi.
