Recent confusions between Pimpri Chinchwad New Town Development Authority (PCNTDA) and Defense Authority created uncertainty regarding no development territory of the Dehu Ammunition Depot red zone.The PCNTDA have decided to perform a study to help citizens to know the exact territory of the red zone. The study will be conducted through a private agency which will study each plot affected by the red zone.Defense Authorities defined the red zone territory according to the survey numbers and they released the red zone maps of 25th February. The confusion occurred as the PCNTDA considered red zone territory on the basis of the sectorsPCNTDA chief executive officer declared that PCNTDA will appoint a private agency to conduct the survey of four sectors of which are most affected by the red zone. Sectors 20 and 21 have the major area which comes under the red zone defined by the Defense Authority.PCNTDA official who granted the building permission in this region will face the inquiry and the owners of the affected properties will be given the compensation accordingly. No building permissions will be given in the future in the red zone areas and District Collector will take decisions about the properties falling in the red zone.Although defense authorities have revealed the maps of the red zone, the residents were unable to get an exact idea of the plots which are affected by the no development zones. The study will help residents to understand if their plot comes in no development zone or not.
