Real Estate Meet to Be Held in Gurgaon in May

FAOAGurgaon: A convention will be held in Gurgaon on 27th May in which 200 apartment owners from Delhi NCR and Gurgaon will participate to discuss the Real Estate (Regulation And Development) Bill 2011 before it is introduced in the Parliament in 2013.The proposal of the bill is to set up regulatory authorities in every state that will look into real estate developed by different developers. The developers will have to submit disclosures to this regulatory authority who will review their approved plans, declared timeline for completion etc. and only after that the developers will be allowed to release advertisements promoting their projects. According to the new law, developers whose projects consist of an area more than 1000 sq mt will have to compulsorily register with the regulatory authority. In case the developer does not do so he will be fined an amount which will be 10% of the total cost of the project or imprisoned for three years.Experts from the field of judiciary, financiers, regulators, real estate consultancy companies, rating agencies etc. will take part in the convention to review and discuss the chief issues that affect real estate development in India.
