Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS) of Bangalore have acquired an office space for rent in RMZ Ecoworld which would cost them around Rs. 48 per square feet. This make it the second costliest office leasing deal in India from past two years as it will pay approximate Rs. 58 crore as annual rental.HTS has it headquarter in Bangalore and is the captive technology and engineering capacity of the $ 37 billion US based Honeywell international firm. The company aims for efficiencies and Co-location Corporation which would lead to better optimization and productivity prospects, therefore according to one of their spokesperson, RMZ ‘s SEZ, RMZ Ecoworld is the finest location from their perspective.After Goldman Sachs which took up 1.6 million square feet office space in Bangalore a year ago, the office space deal by HTS is the second biggest office space leasing deal in our country. According to the sources, Honeywell would use 5 lakh square feet area for consolidating its present offices, while the other remaining space will be used for the expansion of the business.Due to the upcoming metro rail, Honeywell wanted to shift its business area from Kalyani Tech Park in South Bangalore. The company was in talks with many developers for renting office space but finally it chose RMZ because it already has space in the SEZ.On the basis of the current study conducted, the commercial business which showed poor signs till last year is now witnessing revitalization after this new deal.
