Kolkata: State cabinet cleared a proposal to enact on the New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA) bill, 2013 which will allow it to work as a Municipality. The bill will also give permission to acquire 5.76 acres of land at Chakpachuria mouza in Rajarhat New Town. This land will be used for the purposes of civic amenities like roads, sewerage, drainage and water supply etc.NKDA was formed according to the New Town Kolkata Development Authority Act in 2007, in 1st January 2009. The main purpose of the authority was to make it possible that it should provide planned development and civic services. The NKDA does not fall under any municipality and corporation though it acts as a civic body for the township. The resident objected the work of the Municipal Corporation towards New Town. They have always complained that the quality of water is compromised, car parking is the biggest problem of the town and the sewerage and drainage systems are not well managed and established.Wait of the people from New Town is finally paying off by means of the approval of the bill in the cabinet. NKDA can now be able to assess levy and collect property tax from residents of Rajarhat New Town. Some modifications were suggested in the bill so that the department can be entrusted to work as the municipality or corporation. The urban development department will now prepare the draft of the proposed amendment so that it can be placed in the next assemble session. займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
