Chandigarh: The Haryana government is about to adopt a new policy for constructing affordable housing. It may be very easily guessed that the main aim of the Hooda Government is the Parliamentary and the State Assembly Elections in 2014. The scheme will be open for public reviews from the first week of April. The scheme is a revision of the 2009 policy drafted by the Haryana government to promote affordable housing to provide dwelling places to middle to low income families. The policy is aimed at making real impact in affordable housing market in the urban centres of Haryana. The builders will receive several advantages such as waiver of applicable fee such which include conversion charges, licence fee, the internal development charges (IDC) etc. The policy will also make an effort to decrease External Development Charges (EDC) on these projects. The rates of the EDC applicable on plotted colonies will be applicable to these projects. However scrutiny fees will not be done away with as this helps in keeping non-serious applicants away. The main focus of the new policy would be to focus on the development of mass number of affordable housing projects for general public. The norms related to density, floor area ratio (FAR) and several other factors will be relaxed to achieve the lower prices. The General of Town and Country Planning Department Director Anurag Rastogi said, “The affordable housing scheme could not work out well due to the cost factor. Now, under the new policy we have made efforts to attract maximum players. The draft will be notified after it gets the government’s nod.”The government’s plan is to build around 3 lakh units all over Chandigarh. Among these 40,000 units will be built in Gurgaon, 30,000 in Faridabad and the rest 30,000 in Sonepat, Panipat, Dharuhera, Karnal, Bahadurgarh and Sohna. The price for housing units in Gurgaon and Faridabad will be fixed at Rs 4,000 per sq ft while allotment rate for other cities will Rs 3,600 per sq ft.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
