Jalandhar: The Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP is taking a decision to impose property tax in the upcoming session. But the Punjab Pradesh congress committee has informed that it will oppose the decision. The opposition says that the present government is going bankrupt which is easily visible from the failure of salary payment to the government employees and pensioners.However the chief minister denied any allegations made by the congress committee but the fact that the state is having shortage of funds is true. There is no wrong in the concept of collecting the property tax so as to give a thrust to the civic organization that is in shambles. The opposition treats the decision as anti-people but taking out the party drama, the property tax is a meager amount is paid everywhere around the country and if it is imposed in the state then that would not affect or trouble the people.Often in party wars, the infrastructure sector gets hurt. Several bills that can improve the current strature of the real estate industry in the country are on the table only due to party drama. The current union budget presented last month had proposed multifarious investment and this kind (SAD and Congress) of thought mismatch and party action can deter the growth.
