DDA Presents Budget 2013-14: LIG Housing Gets Top Priority

DDANew Delhi: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has passed its Budget 2013-14 and housing for lower income groups (LIG) has emerged as the chief priority for the DDA. The DDA is trying to meet the demand for low income housing in the sub-cities of Delhi. Infrastructural projects such as building of roads and bridges. Maintenance of green areas has also received allotment in the budget.Budget estimate of 2012-13 was Rs. 2,156.37 crore. Budget estimates have been increased to Rs. 2,543.05 crore for 2013-14 which is an increase of almost 22% of allotment for meeting the demand for residential, institutional and commercial buildings in the areas of Narela, Rohini, Dwarka, Jasola, Maidangarhi, Bakkarwala, Kirti Nagar, Alaknanda, Paschim Vihar, etc. In the year 2013-14, 4855 houses for the economically weaker groups (EWS) and 24,660 houses for the low income group (LIG) families are being planned. Construction of these houses has been planned in Rohini, Dwarka and Narela. These are expected to be completed within 2013-14. In Kalkaji Extension another 3000 EWS houses are being planned and work will start soon with an estimated expense of Rs. 30 crore. At the beginning of the financial year of 2012-13, construction work was started on 30,813 houses. Out of these only 4,321 houses have been completed and put up for a draw by the housing wing. The DDA is hoping to earn revenue of around Rs 5876.85 crore in 2013-14 from disposal of land, shops and houses.The Delhi MasterPlan which has enumerated the construction and maintenance of 10 roads around Delhi had also been allotted an amount of Rs 140.39 crore for the work. Delhi’s green projects such as the Yamuna riverfront, development of Satpula lake complex, Millennium Park, Yamuna Biodiversity Park and Aravalli Biodiversity Park have also found their place of importance in the DDA budget.DDA Chairman and Lt Governor Tejinder Khanna said that before the next DDA meeting charts dictating deadlines for completion of these projects will be distributed so that projects like covering of the Defense Colony Nallah or Sarita Vihar Underpass which are taking DDA years to complete can be finished quickly and the case is not repeated in building these houses or any other project DDA will be taking up in 2013-14.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
