Mumbai: The Bruhanmumbai Municipal Corporation has pulled up its socks and in a very short time; it is going to wear the mask of strictness. But all this preparation is for the betterment of our very own city Mumbai. BMC has promised to formulate new policies by the end of February to deal with the illegal construction across the length and breadth of the city.In a meeting on Feb 7th, the civic body discussed the practical points that can be used in framing new policies. The illegal structures everywhere in the city spoil the planning of the area and the corporation has to suffer the losses. Residents were also often fooled and when the civic body acts against it, they become the ones who have to suffer the most.The municipal commissioner said that officers will be designated for the purpose to act against the illegal buildings. And if somehow officer turns out to be corrupt then measures will be taken against the officer. Taking the help of technology, the commissioner has also proposed an online system where pictures of illegal structures will be placed such that the process of finding and demolishing it will be done in time.It’s high time the fraudulent structures enjoyed the piece of land at their feet and generated bags full of black money. BMC is on the way, crushing is inevitable.
