State Government may Bring Relief for Illegal Buildings this Budget

unauthorized-structures-may-get-reliefPune: The government of Pune may prepare a bill in the upcoming budget session for the regulation of illegal and unauthorized constructions around the city. Important changes in the MRTP (Maharashtra Regional Town Planning) Act of 1966 will be made to process the purpose. The law will constitute two principle points viz. The cutoff date for regularization and the quantity of floor space index (FSI) permitted. The state government along with the urban development department are working on this proposal. Recently the chief Minister Prithiviraj Chavan has been in conversation with few MLA’s on the crucial action going on against the illegal structures in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.A sigh of relief can be expected if the illegal constructions were regularized with the new bill however the municipal commissioner Shrikar Pardeshi said that those structures that are illegally built on the land reserved for development plan will not be regularized. But the good part is that MLAs have demanded the administration body to withdraw the complaints lodged against the residents/owners of those unauthorized buildings. The new idea of saving felonious construction will bring relief to the owners who are in deep danger losing their valuable property.
