A Dubai based, 15 years old interior retail giant, Marina Exotic Home Interior is all set to invest around Rs 500 crore in India and is contemplating an opening of more than 50 stores all over the country in the next 5 years.The company is a leader in selling all the interior decorative items including accessories for the living room, lighting appliances and fabrics. Marina is expecting a turnover of more than Rs 300 crore in its first year of inception.Khurshid Vakil, the co-founder and co-owner of Marina Gulf and Marina Home has told to the Press Trust of India that both large and medium size boutiques have been planned to be shuttered up in most tier-I, II and III cities in the country. The target of 50 stores is decided and an amount of 500 crore for investment is finalized.Its first store in the country is already started in the capital of the country with an investment of 100 crore on infrastructure, logistics and networking. During the present year, another 100 crore investment is planned to ground the stores in all major metros.Marina is also thinking to invest in big countries like US, UK and Canada by the end of this year. Also it looks for tie-ups with the major developers in the country to secure real estate projects.This heavy investment is predicted to boost the current status of real estate industry of India.
