Ahmedabad is a city of traders as you all know unlike Pune, Bengaluru and Chennai Ahmedabad is a kind of trade centre instead of Job hub. The city I personally find very lively filled with friendly people all around ready to help you whenever you need them. If you have explored Ahmedabad then you must be agree with me. Ahmedabad has many beautiful places all around to be explored. You may not find many natural destinations but still you get a variety of weekend getaways from the city. The monsoon season is about to end and the rivers around are enthusiastically energising the plenty of water falls everywhere. There is a place called Zanzari near Ahmedabad. It is famous for its beautiful waterfall which you may not find very high as it is just 25 feet high from the ground. It is located in Dehgam quite close to the banks of River Vatrak. I guess it got its name Zanzari because the waterfall sounds like zanzar when drops from the height. It is approximately 69 kilometres from the city of Ahmedabad if you choose the route via Himmatnagar. The best time to visit the Zanzari Waterfall is just after the monsoon because after monsoon every water fall appears the best in its full energy and magnificence. Avoid rainy season as the rocks get very slippery thus can be dangerous and the River flow is ferocious at this time. During summers there is not enough water in the fall so you many have to go a long distance to catch the water in the river bed. At this time the water of the river is quite calm and one can enjoy water activities near the fall or at the river banks. But from September to December this place displays its optimum beauty. At this time it can be a perfect picnic and outing spot for you with family or friends. The waterfall cannot be accessed by road directly. You can reach at the closest spot and park your vehicle then you need to walk almost three kilometres from there to reach the Zanzari water fall. In summers or winters you may need to walk much more than this. You may not find any designated signboards on the way to Zanzari fall and that is why it is advised to ask for help from the locals living in the area for right directions. The road at some places is really in bad shape and thus be careful while driving or riding the bike. There are camel rides available here if you want to try one. I personally do not recommend it as I am an animal lover and do not like to torture animals by our weight. One can enjoy the natural seating on the rocks in the natural environs and click the pleasant moments. It is better to get your food and drinking water from your home as there are no such fancy restaurants here except a small shop situated near the parking area. You can get here tea, bajre ki roti, and vegetable curry. You may try it as it is not that bad.One should always behave responsibly while in natural surroundings. Do not throw any plastic wrappers or other waste here and there. As you need to climb the rocky path to reach the water fall, you are supposed to wear shoes for easy climbing. The Zanzari waterfall can be one day trip and enjoy it in fullest you need to spend good amount of time there. It is better if you start early and reach there in time. On your way to Zanzari fall Kedareshwar temple can be explored. It is really a good place situated near the water body.RUCHI MAHAJAN
