Generally the areas they prefer are Whitefield, Yelahanka, and Hebbal. Although these luxuries come at a huge cost of Rs.1 crore and above. Just a while ago, NRIs returned to Bangalore from Europe due to the economic crisis have demanded luxury homes to settle down. But the scene of real estate is changing every second and property prices are reaching the clouds. Some of the prices of premium properties are even higher than the properties that NRIs sold in the foreign soil. Hence they are finding it difficult to relocate to their homeland.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c<em>Relocating Indians are often caught in a time warp. The India they knew a decade back is very different from the one they encounter today. Property prices have more than trebled and there is a premium to be paid if you need to have a certain lifestyle. The returning Indians are often ill-prepared for this<\/em>,\u201d said Dieter Carvallo, an agent who searches properties for his select list of Indian clients.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After the 2008-09 global financial crisis, Bangalore saw an increase in NRIs, especially IT professionals, investing in residential <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bharatestates.com\/bangalore\/cp\/15\/house-for-rent-in-bangalore\" target=\"_blank\">real estate in Bangalore<\/a>.\u00a0 This led to the proliferation of luxury properties.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c<em>The market has seen a steady increase of 25-30 per cent in enquiries from this segment. Many are completely out of sync with the market dynamics back home, and blithely assume their foreign-earned savings would help find a luxurious home in a breeze. They are ill prepared for the astronomical ticket sizes that now prevail<\/em>,\u201d said N Parashuram, a property consultant who specializes in handling IT clients from US.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Usually NRI\u2019s build two homes, one for their aging parents and other for themselves. But with financial downturns, job insecurities and hike of property prices, they are unable to invest in more properties.
