\"\"As the monsoon arrives in Maharashtra the nature becomes alive in the entire state. The limitless beauty of Sahyadri Mountains, rivers and forests makes us speechless. The soothing experience of indulging in nature during monsoon is wonderful. Pune <\/a>is a place in Maharashtra with lots of such scenic places all around. Recently I have been to one such place that made my day. It is one of the best places to spend time, relax and enjoy in the lap of nature for a day with family or friends. Pawana Lake which is an artificial lake on the major dam of Maharashtra is quite captivating. A dam is being built on the Pawana River in the year 1972. Thus the Pawana Lake automatically came to existence and now it has become a quite popular tourist spot.\u00a0\u00a0 The Pawana Dam is an Earth fill gravity dam built on Pawana River near Maval. This dam is owned by Government of Maharashtra. With a capacity of 241000 km3 this dam has turned the place worth paying a visit.The surroundings of the lake are enthralling with hills half dipped into clouds, thick green carpet on the lands and the most fascinating small but tall waterfalls dripping out from the heights and making their ways down to the lake. The climate during monsoon becomes so pleasant that no one can resist its charm. It is neither chilled nor hot but perfectly cool with good speed of wind. The lake water synchronizing with the wind and creating musical waves to sooth your hearing senses. Isn\u2019t it so charismatic to lose yourself in such an environment? Who doesn\u2019t want to relax in a heavenly location like this one? What you can see all around is Mother Nature and more nature and more nature that too in its outmost beauty. No doubt as the natural cover is shrinking from our country, finding such a place could be called imaginative. Thanks to our ever growing demands, lack of love for nature and greediness that left us with just handful of untouched natural locations. The way to reach the lake gives you opportunity to click your camera many times as both the sides you find breathtaking hillocks with fantastic greenery (I don\u2019t know how long it will stay).\u00a0 I couldn\u2019t blink my eyes as I wanted to soak myself in the magnificent sceneries all around. On your way to the lake you will find some waterfalls that will be crowded if it is a Saturday or Sunday. Several stalls selling roasted sweet corns, banana, vada pav, tea, onion bhajiya, samosa, etc. can be found easily on your way. I tried delicious onion bhajiya and sweet corn.Humble request<\/strong>One thing I would like to mention here or I should say I request my readers that do not spoil such a beautiful place by throwing garbage and plastic bottles or glasses here and there. Drop them into trash bin and if you don\u2019t find one then keep it with you until you reach home as I did, and then throw into your trash bin. I felt very sad when I saw people throwing plastic bottles, chips wrappers and sweet corn covers carelessly at the fall sights, hills and Lake Front. I request to government also to set some strict rules to maintain cleanliness in such places.Apart from natural blast you can enjoy boating here with both the options share boating and speed boating. I went to a resort called Lohagad resort where they arrange boating. There is a fine restaurant as well in the resort. From the lake only you can sight three majestic forts named Tung, Tikona and Lohagad Fort. Just 12 kilometres ahead of the lake you can reach the Lohagad Fort. Though the route to reach the lake is not very good thanks to our government but you do not have other choice. At many places it is just single road and you need to wait at a wider place to cross the other vehicle.
