Like the city of Ahmedabad this place is also full of different colours. It has everything for all age groups whether seniors, young or kids. As the name suggests it is basically a beautiful public garden set amongst the green surroundings and sprawling stretches of green lawns but the speciality of this garden is the food chopati and the vibrant local market spread outside the garden. It is a relaxation place, favourite play area for kids, a family weekend outing spot. This garden is usually the venue for many cultural activities like musical concerts, dance festivals, etc. because of the convenient location and the spread of green lawns.There are play instruments (rides) for children to spend a cheerful evening apart from other recreational activities. The ambience of the Law Garden is quite welcoming. This garden has got its name from the Law College which is situated just next to it. No doubt you can notice lots of students from the college here roaming around or just relaxing on the green lawn discussing their future plans.\u00a0 Unlike other gardens this place comes alive usually after sunset. Local vendors sell their stuff here. This colourful market is the perfect place for traditional shopping experience but the condition is you must be a good negotiator. Your bargaining skills can be examined here. You get here all traditional Gujarati outfits like Chaniya- choli, ghagras and Navratri costumes here. Other items include different handicrafts, handmade items, handcrafted bed sheets, special Kutch embroidered bed sheets, cushion covers, artificial traditional jewellery, decorative pieces, etc. This market reminds me of the Flea market at Anjuna Beach in Goa.\u00a0 But the stuff sold here is really good and worth spending as the same stuff you get quite expensive if you visit the malls here.Another attraction here is the food stalls by local vendors who are ready to serve you the mouth watering dishes ranging from north to south but the traditional Gujarati food is delicious here. They are not only inexpensive but also worth trying.\u00a0 The tasteful delicacies include pani puri of Agarwal’s, handmade kulfi of Asharfi, variety of chats at chat corners, variety of South Indian dishes, Pav Bhaji and the best traditional Gujarati food. You cannot for sure resist the tempting snacks here. If you are visiting during monsoons then range of corn bhutta is the best item to get your taste buds tickle. Ghee chutney corn, butter masala corn or simply lemon salt corn are extremely mouth watering in rains here. So what are you waiting for?
