Professional help is available for childproofing the house, but it can be easily done without any professional help too. Here are some of the important tips that can come in handy while childproofing your home are as given below:<\/p>\n

  1. Safeguard heating and gas systems. Stove knob covers help in making it difficult for a child to turn a stove or an oven on. Installing the same will prevent hazardous accidents.<\/li>\n
  2. Use covers on electrical outlets. This can prevent shocks, and further related injuries.<\/li>\n
  3. Proper ventilation of furnaces, fireplaces, space heaters and other gas appliances is very important.<\/li>\n
  4. Safety<\/a> proof the windows and fire exits of your apartments. Toddlers are likely to experiment with these two. Do not place stools near the windows, as it might encourage the toddler to climb. If possible, attach a security net against your window. You can also use window locks.
