These miniature sized flats had disappeared from the scenario for over a period of four to five years.\u00a0One of the research analytics company dealing with matters of the real estate properties said that sale of the houses in metropolitan area of Mumbai came down to fifty eight percent in the first quarter of the financial year of 2012.i.e there was a deficit of about 16223 square units in the period January to March this year in contrast with 27,676 square units in the same period of year 2011.Generally single bedroom flats fall in the range of 300-800 square feet.\u00a0Builders have now understood that they carry out the inflows in cash and maintain the steady increase in the growth rate of the sales by concentrating on the construction of the small sized flats. Most vital thing is that the construction of the one bedroom flats helps the builders to retain and maintain the cost of the houses. Low housing costs brings down the margin for transacting.Some builders in Mumbai have said that there is a need for one bedroom hall and kitchen flats in the suburban areas of Goregaon after conducting a detailed market research, survey and analysis.Recently a project of construction of 1BHK flats has started in industrial area of the bandra east.
