\"Geographical-Information-System\"Coimbatore:<\/strong> With the malfunctioning of GIS (Geographical Information System) project, the city corporation has re-implemented the plan to ensure maximum accuracy of the data entered. This measure was taken to avoid the incorrect entries of the property tax details. The GIS project is aimed at data retrieval pertaining to property taxes. Given the unique ID number, property tax details relevant to the identification number will be retrieved.A detailed map of the city will be generated by the GIS which will in turn aid the process of civic planning and development. Curbing fraudulent activities with the help of the Geographical Information Systems is also a part of this project. From the owners name to property details, the GIS will keep a record of even the smallest of details. With this it will become much easier for the Corporation to detect property tax defaulters. An in-person survey has been conduction for data collection.
