\"\"Chandigarh: <\/strong>\u00a0Real estate in Chandigarh is in its peak. The rural and semi-urban areas of Chandigarh like Burail and Attawa quote property prices equivalent to that of prime urban locations. People owning a piece of land in these areas now possess gold mine worth a fortune. Areas like Hallomajra, Palsora and Maloya have become the next investment hotspots. With improvements in infrastructure facilities, land and property prices have shot up beyond expectations. This trend has lured land owners to club their resources and divert it towards the development of real estate in these areas. Proposals to rename these booming areas like those of the prime locations have been put forth. This has invited strong opposition from the Councilor of Chandigarh stating that such changes contribute to the artificial price rise. Areas close to the highways like Burail are welcoming investors, thereby boosting up real estate investment in these areas. Medical, Entertainment and other amenities have added to rapid development of real estate. Consequently property prices have been rising, consistently, over the years.
