  1. \u00a0Mistake in basic design:<\/strong> It is one of the biggest mistakes in layout designing if the stove, wash area and the fridge are in a line. While designing the layout make it appoint not to have these three things in a row.<\/li>\n
  2. Size of the kitchen:<\/strong> Another mistake is not considering the kitchen size. A small kitchen with too much furniture can look congested. Design the layout to facilitate the functioning of kitchen. A small kitchen can also be designed carefully in order to make it spacious and organized.<\/li>\n
  3. Lack of storage:<\/strong> Not utilizing the space thoughtfully is another common mistake. Kitchen is a place which needs lots of space and storage because it has lots of things to accommodate in it.   4. Planning of shelves:<\/strong> Mistake in planning the shelves. These should be at a reachable height with sufficient storage space.   5. Platform width:<\/strong> Mistake in measuring the platform width. We usually find that a narrow otta is difficult to accommodate four burner gas stove. It becomes difficult to place anything ahead of the stove due to lack of space. The otta should have sufficient width. If the kitchen size is small then one can consider different otta designs like parallel otta or L- shaped otta.<\/li>\n
  6. Having cabinets above the stove:<\/strong> One should avoid having cabinets <\/a>above gas stove platform as it will be sticky and dirty soon due to the smoke of cooking. Cabinet on the other side and under the gas stove platform is a good option to avoid oily dirt sticking on the furniture.<\/li>\n
  7. Not taking advantage of professional services:<\/strong> Not taking the professional advice is not economical always. You have only one kitchen in the home and once designed you have to live with it for years. That is why it is significant to take the help of professionals if you are not able to decide the interiors of your kitchen as it will save your time, energy and unnecessary wastage of money and will give you quality results.<\/li>\n
  8. Spending too much:<\/strong> Putting too much money into kitchen is a mistake that does not assure you to give same returns. It is advisable not to invest a huge amount in kitchen. In a reasonable budget also one can get a perfect, organized and beautiful kitchen with systematic storage option. Kitchen furniture should be durable, waterproof and easy to clean. One should avoid carving on kitchen furniture as it will become difficult to clean.<\/li>\n
  9. Lack of lighting and ventilation:<\/strong> Kitchen should have sufficient lighting to work properly. Proper ventilation is also an essential part of a kitchen. If direct ventilation is not possible install chimney to exhaust smoke of cooking.<\/li>\n
  10. Not choosing the right colors for kitchen: <\/strong>Choosing the right color combination is equally important as the time you spend in the kitchen should be enjoyable for you not boring. Colors can bring energy to the place. Dark colors can make kitchen look smaller so be careful as a spacious kitchen is always in demand.<\/li>\n
  11. Lack of hanging stands:<\/strong> Not having sufficient hangers for essential items make your kitchen and platform crowded and messy. Make sure everything has a proper place in the kitchen so that you can have a clutter free kitchen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
