\"\"Christmas is almost here and you must be wondering how to decorate your home to sparkle this festive season. Why don\u2019t we make a greener festival this year by using some old waste stuff to decorate creatively our sweet home?\u00a0 Let us think about the stuff that we can use in a better way instead of throwing away and buying new decorations. Here is a list of some waste stuff that can be turned into pretty decorative items:\u2022 Old fabric\u2022 Old coloured papers\u2022 Sheet papers\u2022 Broken bulbs\u2022 Chocolate rappers\u2022 Old CDs\u2022 Yesteryears\u2019 greeting cards\u2022 Walnut shells\u2022 Old cans\u2022 Unused glasses\u2022 Old cookie cutters\u2022 Garden waste like dried leaves or twigs\u2022 Buttons\u2022 Ribbons\u2022 Old floppiesLike these there are many random items you can collect from around the house that can be a part of your green Christmas celebrations. Now if you have collected the stuff then start using your creativity to turn these useless items into useful pretty decorations. Here are few ideas that can encourage you to use your imagination into reality.<\/p>\n

  1. We do need some paints sparkling either spray or normal. Spray paints make the task easier and faster. Spray some gold or silver paint on to floppy to cover up completely. It can work as a tree hung or wall hung.<\/li>\n
  2. An old CD can be turned into small wreath by adding some paint and sticking big and small buttons to it. You can cover the CD first with a rough paper for better sticking of buttons. Use a ribbon to hang it on the wall, mirror<\/a> or to decorate tree. The color of buttons should be red and white to bring brightness and Christmas effect. A red satin ribbon to hang will do the magic.<\/li>\n
  3. Draw the star shapes on the hard sheet paper and cut them out. Put some glue on the shapes. Now spread glitter (silver, golden, red or green) on it. Let it dry for some time and then turn it upside down carefully so that the extra glitter will be removed. Repeat the procedure on the other side and you can have your coloured stars ready for decoration. You can use the cookie cutters to make the perfect shapes of stars.<\/li>\n
  4. Used lollypop sticks or ice cream sticks can be used to make stars too. You can tie the ends in star shape using a red thread and can hang them too.\u00a0 Garden twigs can also do the task well and will give more natural look to the decoration.<\/li>\n
  5. Old fabric like red woolen can be used to make small stockings or gift pouches. Mittens can also be used with some creativity as a decoration piece. Add some corner shiny lace to it.<\/li>\n
  6. Chocolate rappers can be stuffed by old newspapers or something that can be shaped like square or good stuff then be used as decoration.<\/li>\n
  7. Have you ever thought of using a used bulb that is broken? It can be painted red or green or golden and can be tied on the Christmas tree. These can be the perfect substitute for Christmas decoration bulbs.<\/li>\n
  8. Another item is Walnut shell which has retained its shape of a sphere even after breaking into two pieces. It can be glued together and painted in sparkling colors can be used as decorative item. While gluing the two sides do remember to put a string in between so that they can be hanged properly.<\/li>\n
  9. The silvery side of chocolate rappers can also be used to make small gift decorations. You can stuff it and tie it using a red thread like gifts. Hang them on tree at different places.<\/li>\n
  10. Old small soft toys can also be used as decoration item.<\/li>\n
  11. Satin ribbons are really good at Christmas time as they add to the richness of the decoration. Make bows of them to decorate anything. Old scrap clothes can also be used to make these kinds of bows to give a different look to your decoration.<\/li>\n
  12. Old jars or empty glass bottles can be used to light candles. The glass potion can be covered by colored gift wrappers to add beauty. You can use a bowl to light candles. Add floating candles to it and add some dried flower leaves for fresh fragrance. Keep it on the centre table or diner to give an inviting look.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
