There are various important roads that start from the Deccan area like Jangli Maharaj Road, Fergusson Collage Road and Karve Road. Deccan gymkhana is very well connected from the other parts of city through PMPML bus services. The Pune municipal corporation is quite close to the Gymkhana area.\u00a0 The popular Sambhaji Park is located in Deccan Gymkhana Area. Many people visit this park on weekends with their families.Deccan Gymkhana has got its name after the famous sports club Deccan Gymkhana Sports Club which is situated in this area. Apart from Deccan Gymkhana Sports Club there is another sports club here known as PYC Hindu Gymkhana. The Deccan Gymkhana Sports Club was founded in the year 1906 and thus we can proudly say that it is more than a century old sports club of Pune city. The City Pride is situated in front of the Deccan Gymkhana PMPML depot.This area has some of the best restaurants in the city like McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut situated on Jangli Maharaj Road. For south Indian food lovers Vaishali, Rupali and Vadeshwar are located on the Furgusson College Road. Vashali restaurant serves the best south Indian delicacies from morning till late evening.
