First paint your home ceiling then walls and at last doors and windows. It will help you save time and cost too.2.<\/strong> One should choose water based paints for walls and ceilings. These are called emulsions, also called plastic paints or latex paints. One can decide the surface finish of walls which can be high sheen, mid sheen or matt as per the taste or liking.3.<\/strong> Look for other qualities of paint like fungal resistance, water proof<\/a>, washable, stain resistance, light reflecting, etc. these properties<\/a> differ with place where the paint is to be done like for kitchen stain resistant and washable paint is better.4.<\/strong> For wooden surface one can choose from transparent finish and opaque (dark) finish. The transparent finish will make your wooden surface look natural and fresh.5.<\/strong> The solvent based paints are recommended for metallic surfaces and these are called enamels.
