Thus the urban planning expert has asked the northern region to learn lesson from the loss and quickly take steps to avoid damage.Natural calamities are unforeseen hence instead of waiting it to strike and then take action, it is better to identify the areas that are more at risk of damage due to tremor. The town planners and administrators of Delhi and NCR are asked to start on with the process which is called as \u201cSeismic microzonation\u201d that can avoid huge destruction.Microzonation is the study that helps to predict the possibility and location of earthquake. With this technique, major disaster can be prevented. However the current technology will not be able to spot the exact location but intelligent and valuable prediction can be made.According to the sources, microzonation will also help to analyze the risk level at a particular location on the basis of study of the effect from past tremors.
