The 11 km operational stretch of Phase I by Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation\u2019s (MMRC) has well- connected Versova which is located in Western suburbs to Ghatkopar, located in Eastern suburbs. The rail network passes via prime residential and commercial hub of Mumbai. The connectivity has drastically reduced the travel time by almost 75 per cent. The metro rail has also reduced a lot of traffic. Locations like Andheri East, Ghatkopar and Vikhroli has once again come up as residential and commercial hotspot.Phase II and Phase III are expected to get developed by 2021. These metro networks will connect Charkop in North to Mankhurd located in East and Colaba in South to North Central Mumbai\u2019s Seepz.<strong>Eastern Freeway:<\/strong>The signal-free transport line, Eastern Freeway is a long highway, stretching 16.8 km. The highway is specially constructed for travelling of high speed vehicles. This roadway network stretched from Fort in South Mumbai to Eastern Express Highway in Ghatkopar. Eastern Freeway has reduced travel time by almost 25 to 30 minutes.Due to this connectivity, real estate development has radically increased in the areas surrounding and neighboring the Freeway. The reduced travel time has increased the demand for commercial properties in South Mumbai. The residential prices in locations like Ghatkopar and Chembur has also increased in past two years.<strong>Santacruz Chembur Link Road:<\/strong>The first double-decker highway of India, Santacruz Chembur Link Road is one of the most awaited transport infrastructure projects.
