Changes will be made in tax system as per which the property owners will be able to pay their property tax and penalty amount separately.In case of illegal constructions that are build after January 2008 are being charged double amount of property tax as penalty fees by the civic body. Eventually, the property owners end up paying three times of their property tax, yearly.According to the survey, property owners are ready to pay tax amount but not the unreasonable penalty amount. Even if the civic body gathers first the penalty amount and then the property tax, owners still don\u2019t pay.As per the 2012 civic elections, the political parties assured the citizens that all the illegal constructions will be regularized and penalty fees will be abolished.
