\"bangalore-property-tax\"<\/a>The Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has decided to make property tax payment as easy as possible for the citizens of Bangalore.\u00a0 After the online process, BBMP has now started with its new drive to collect the property tax<\/a> from property owner\u2019s doorstep. The Palike recently made its first move in Garden Apartment, located on Magadi Road.BBMP had set a camp in the complex premises and proceeded with the tax collection. The drive was initiated days after when the Chief Minister of Karnataka realized that the corporation is not able to attain its set target in collecting property tax from the state capital property owners.This new drive at Garden Apartment saw a good response from the flat owners. Out of the total 936 flats in the society, the Palike managed to pull together Rs. 6.5 lakh from 65 flat owners. Few of the flat owners expressed their views about the new move by BBMP. According to them, this is the best plan so far as most of the flat owners are unaware about the property tax payment. Some of the owners also said that they got to learn a lot about property tax by this drive of corporation.Five of the BBMP officials managed the Camp with a computer and printer.
