\"industries\"<\/a>Delhi\/NCR:<\/strong> Industry owners have asked the government to amend the floor-to-area (FAR)<\/a> for the manufacturing industries in Gurgaon. In a recent meeting, the local association members along with the additional chief secretary of the state focused on the drawbacks of the present building bylaws which provide the manufacturing units, minimum floor-to-area ratio. Therefore the owners are expecting a revision in the FAR.According to the data presented by a local industrialist, the FAR is just 125% for the manufacturing units with machinery in Udyog Vihar. It is 200% FAR for garment industries and for IT companies it is 250%. The local industrialist further raised the issue that if the price of the land across the board remains the same then why there should be unfairness, in case of FAR or any other building norms.He further added that, many industry owners there have asked for raise in the existing FAR limits, in order to meet the rising space requirements of the manufacturers. FAR limit of around 200% is expected which should be relevant for all the sectors.
