The government decision regarding the interest on arrears and property tax dues has resulted as good news to the property tax payers in the city.GHMC commissioner Somesh Kumar after considering the government\u2019s GO announced that all the tax payers should pay their property tax dues immediately who were waiting for the government nod on the interest waiver. He also added that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bharatestates.com\/blog\/hyderabad-property\/\" target=\"_blank\">property tax payers in Hyderabad<\/a> who pay their tax before March 15 will be awarded with gifts from the GHMC.GHMC now hopes to collect Rs 1250 crore target due to the interest waiver, it has also announce incentives for bill collectors and tax inspectors who collect more than one-and-half times of the last years revenue and they would be provided three months basic pay as a encouragement by the government.GHMC has formed about 8 teams in every circle under their jurisdiction for the collection of property tax, and about 18 special teams have also been deployed from the head office for the assistance of deputy commissioners. Collection of property tax from big defaulters will be focused by a central team including additional commissioner (Planning), additional director, fire services, and additional SP etc.The GHMC records state that GHMC has collected about Rs 605 crore until now, and this decision will boost the overall property collection at the end.
