Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) in a recent meeting declared that the land allotment prices for all sorts of properties in the city would be increased by 10.21%. The price hike will be bought into effect from April 1st, 2014. Formal notice will be issued by the authority, very soon.The CEO and Chairman of GNIDA said that excluding the industrial zone of Greater Noida Phase-II, the land allotment price would be raised by 10.21% for all the other categories. He further added that land allotment rates witnesses hike every year. The land rates were escalated by 8.53 % in May, 2013. The raise in the land price is very important with respect to the hike in the land costs, inflation price and various other factors.According to the authority officials, this increase in price is very crucial for GNIDA as it is suffering from major financial crisis. Apart from this many development projects are still not in progress from numerous months.As per the hiked prices, residential rates has been increased by Rs. 2,068 per sq m and commercial plots will be costing an additional amount of Rs.4, 099 per sq m. Institutional plots will be costing Rs. 11,589 per sq m whereas last year it was priced Rs. 10,517 per sq m.Even though the land allotment rates are going to increase in Greater Noida, it will still remain affordable sector as compared to NCR and other neighboring regions.
