Although the notification has been welcomed by the builders and developers across the state, the notification has given rise to various confusions in realtors across the state. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bharatestates.com\/blog\/what-is-credai\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI)<\/a> said that the government needs to clarify the notification to understand it better.The notification stated that the every builder having construction on one or more acre of land will need to reserve 20 per cent of the developments for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Low Income Groups (LIG). The notification will be applicable in the cities which have a population over 10 lakh people. The cities where the notification would be applicable mostly include Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Thane, Navi Mumbai, and Nagpur etc.The development reserved for the EWS and LIG segments in every construction must be handed over to the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) which will be further allotted to the EWS and LIG segments.CREDAI Maharashtra president Anant Rajegaonkar said that CREDAI appreciate the government\u2019s decision, the notification also stated that at later stage the cities having population less than 10 lakh will also be included in the reservations for EWS segments.MHADA will by the constructed 20 per cent development within the period 6 months from the completion of projects.
