In such a situation, it is important to have a place for everything in our cosy homes. In order to do that we have to use every inch of our home so wisely that it should not look cramped or untidy. Here are some tips that will help you to use your homes\u2019 space efficiently so that you can get extra room for everything you want to have in your home.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The first tip is to organise your entire house so that you could know how much more space you needed to store that extra stuff. Keeping the home tidy helps to see the left over corners and spaces that can be used to make extra storage or can be decorated.<\/li>\n<li>At the entrance of your home if you have a small corridor or the entering space which you think cannot be used at all then let me tell you it is very important place and this space gives the first impression of your entire house. A small shelf cum shoe rack can be installed here. This shelf can have one or two drawers depending upon the space you have. On top you can have a potted plant, laughing Buddha and on the wall above it you can hang a smart art picture. Thus you can make the entrance of your home inviting as well as get a proper place for footwear.<\/li>\n<li>In living room, it is definite that you will have a sofa. You can make storage under your sofa for those things that are used once in a while not frequently. Having a sofa cum bed is another option to use the sofa as a bed when guests come to your home.<\/li>\n<li>Choose side and centre tables with drawers to have space for magazines or newspapers. If you already have a side table without such facility then you can use a beautiful table cloth under which you can keep magazines that are not visible but will be kept comfortably.<\/li>\n<li>When you have less floor space than it is advised to have wall fixed racks instead of floor wall units. These racks can be made out of glass, fibre or wood depending on your taste, choice and the decor of the room. Glass racks look classy for decorative pieces, CD player, etc. You can go for wooden finish platform on wall to place your TV.<\/li>\n<li>Bright lighting gives an illusion of space thus making a small room look bigger. So it is better to go for smart lighting system.<\/li>\n<li>In a small home it is better to have a small dining table but you can go for a diner that has a visible rack underneath. This space can be used to have decorative bowl of flowers or crystals or other such items. It will help to make your dining table more attractive along with saving space on the table.<\/li>\n<li>If you have stairs in your home then the space below the steps can be used efficiently. You can make cabinets to store stuff, if you have bigger space, turn it into cosy sitting or kids play area and decorate it according to that. There are many uses of this space and if thought carefully it can be a significant place in your home. A small light can be installed inside so that the place can be illuminated and darkness can be wiped out.<\/li>\n<li>On the blank walls of steps can be the perfect place to make a family collage or hanging art pieces that are not able to find a proper space on the other walls of your home.<\/li>\n<li>Lofts are really useful and do not need floor space. If possible in your home create lofts which can be used as a good storage space. Here you can store things that are not frequently used like your luggage, boxes, etc. Lofts do not need to look ugly. You can make them appealing by choosing the right design, texture or decorate them with stickers like if it is in kids\u2019 room you can use cartoon stickers, themes and other such items.<\/li>\n<li>Use the space under the bed if your bed does not have any storage box. Having a tailored skirt around the bed can hide the storage under the bed. Hanging decorative shelves are not only good looking but also can be used efficiently by placing things in order.<\/li>\n<li>Choose a dresser with more drawers in vertical so that it won\u2019t occupy floor space but can de-clutter and organise your stuff without making the room too crowded.<\/li>\n<li>It is better to have wall hanging selves in bathrooms so that you can keep your daily needs material for bathroom there. Under the sink space can also be used by installing a small cupboard underneath. All cleaning items can be stored there.<\/li>\n<li>It is better to keep your house free from unnecessary stuff and thus it is required to check for those items time to time which are no longer used and sort of waste for you and your family members. Such items can be donated to those who actually can use them and are not capable of buying them from market.
