The area saw a lot of development and demand due to this project but now the property buyers are anxious about investing in this location.Ulwe, a budding locality of Navi Mumbai saw an appreciation in land prices from past five years. The infrastructural development like the proposed airport, 22 km long, Trans-Harbour Link from Sewri to Nhava-Sheva which connects the main city to Navi Mumbai are the prime factors that have boosted the real estate sector of Ulwe as well as Navi Mumbai as a whole. The upcoming Navi Mumbai airport bought a hope among the developers and buyers. The construction of the airport was not the main reason for the increasing demand of this area but the launch of this project would have ensured that Ulwe and the nearby locations get better-quality roads and other infrastructure which would have supported the real estate development.Ulwe is still an emerging location and is looking out for development of basic infrastructure like road network and also improvement in drainage system and water supply. Public transportation services like frequency of buses is not so good in this area however auto rickshaws are available. Currently the locality is seen as an investment destination, with the emergence of basic facilities it can be transformed into a realty hotspot too.The present situation seems to be very perplexing. The question for the development of this area arises that whether infrastructure and basic amenities should be provided first or the people should move in first so that the development takes place?
