\"\"Pune<\/a> is a place with rich culture having many historical and religious places that are not just places to visit but also represent the natural beauty along with splendid structures. They sometimes amaze you by their glorious history and excellent architecture of that time. Parvati temple is one of such places whit plenty of fresh air and green patch because it is on the Parvati hill which is 2100 feet high from sea level. I always think how difficult it is to construct a temple on such a height that too in ancient period when today\u2019s technology was not available.There are many Hindu temples on the Parvati hill along with a godess temple like Vishnu temple, Devdeveshwar temple, Kartikeya temple, Vitthal temple, Ramana temple etc.\u00a0 The Parati temple is said to be constructed by the third Peshwa\u00a0 Shrimant Nanasaheb in the year 1749 for his mother Kashibai who got recovery after praying in the old godess temple. The temples here are the beautiful example of architecture of Peshwa times. the Shivlinga in the Devdeveshwar temple is very beautiful and said to be a sacred place for devotees. Other from the temples there is a Peshwa museum worth visiting here which has a collection of coins, arms, weapons, paintings as well as other items used by Peshwas at that time. There is one Samadhi of Shrimant Nanasaheb Peshwa at the back side of the Peshwa museum which is a part of Peshwa palace built by the Peshwa Shrimant in the year 1797.\u00a0 There is a nominal fee of Rs. 5 charged for visiting the museum.The temple is very famous spot in Pune and can be reached very easily from any part of Pune by any means of transportation. It is just 3 kilometres away from Swargate station. it has become now the favourite relaxing place for Puneties whether young or old. There are hundred and three steps to be climbed before you reach on top. That can be a good exercise as many people from nearby climb it every morning in order to exercise and breathe in fresh air of top hill. The bottom of the hill is not as attractive as it used to be in the Peshwa time. The slums took the place which was once green full of trees and fields and very clean. You can see the Saras baug Ganesh temple<\/a> from top of the hill which is near the Parvati base. The views of Pune city from top is amazing and can be best enjoyed in the evening.Ruchi Mahajan<\/p>\n
