We foremost, worship the god and pray for a good day. The soothing sound of bells and the aromatic smell of incense sticks make your home pure and pious and give a fresh start to your day. Performing prayers and paying respect to the deity is a vital part of Indian culture. Residents either place their beloved idols of god in a separate pooja room or pooja shelves. Placement of pooja room or pooja shelf is an important aspect to be considered, you cannot place it anywhere as per your convenience. Pooja Room Vastu brings peace, prosperity and happiness in your home.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As per the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bharatestates.com\/blog\/vastu-defect-remedies\/\">vastu<\/a><\/strong> principles, north-east corner is said to be the finest location for the pooja room or pooja shelf.<\/li>\n<li>If you don\u2019t have space in north-east direction, then you can also go for for east or north location.<\/li>\n<li>Normally these locations get enough of natural light which keeps you home temple fresh and bright.<\/li>\n<li>Pooja room can be placed in the middle or center of the home which is known as Brahmasthana.<\/li>\n<li>The area should be clean and painted with fresh colors like yellow, cream white, light blue etc. These colors would reflect more light.<\/li>\n<li>Southwest, south and west corner of the home should be completely avoided for setting up the pooja place. Pooja room should never be placed outside the home, it is said to be very inauspicious.<\/li>\n<li>If you do not have much space to set a separate room then you can place the pooja place in kitchen. Even hall or living room is preferable.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid placing the deities in bedroom.<\/li>\n<li>The idols which you place in the pooja room or on pooja shelf should be east facing.<\/li>\n<li>Idols should not be placed facing each other.<\/li>\n<li>Broken or damaged idols should not be kept in pooja room, it is said to inauspicious.<\/li>\n<li>There should be two doors for pooja room in east and it should not be closed completely.<\/li>\n<li>If you have a big home with floors, avoid placing the pooja place in the basement or first floor.
