The PIL was filed in the high court seeking proper directions to Amhmedabad Municipal Corporation for the repair work on various old buildings.<b><\/b>The<b> <\/b>petition was filed by Old Walled City Residency Group stating that the civic body is not giving permission to properties which request its permission for repair work in the building, although the state government has passed legislation granting permission for regularization of illegal buildings in the city. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bharatestates.com\/blog\/23323-amc-to-construct-ews-houses-with-orders-of-high-court\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC)<\/a> houses about 900 building including the structures which have been declared as heritage structures.The PIL submitted in the court stated that the AMC&#8217;s current policy will not work for these structures any further delay in the renovation of such structure will make them highly unsafe for use. Earlier, the civic body had issued notices to people living in 25 such old buildings which require immediate renovation and repair work.The civic body had ensured court that it will consider decisions regarding preservation of heritage structures and implementation of Impact fee laws.
