Municipal Corporation is bound to assist public in every aspect they need according to the Indian Constitution.Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) observed that the conventional way of solving any issue takes too much of efforts form citizens. As the tagline of Municipal Corporation says “Katibaddha Janahitay” meaning always ready for people’s welfare, the PCMC is taking its steps to follow the meaning through its SARATHI project.\"PCMC-Sarathi\"SARATHI<\/b>Citizens has to walk to the PCMC’s door step every time they seek any information or solution for their issues. This conventional way of interacting with people always takes a long route resulting in massive waste of time for both corporation and citizens. As a alternative solution for this conventional way the PCMC has come up with an idea of creating an online and a telephonic assistance system for the citizens and tourists of the Pimpri Chinchwad city. With a futuristic vision, PCMC has created a holistic approach to assist citizens.The Sarathi system provides up to date information about all the departments of the PCMC. Considering the technological advancement in the world, the PCMC made the system available in all sorts of platforms. The PCMC has created an online portal where you can get all the information regarding the various departments of the corporation in FAQs format. Other than the online portal, PCMC has also prepared an offline downloadable booklet of the Sarathi system which will guide citizens same like that of to the online portal. PCMC has also started a telephonic helpline number where you can get any information or solution you want. If the issue is easily solvable, it will be immediately registered through the telephonic helpline number otherwise it would need to be done according to the standard procedure.The corporation has been working on the Sarathi system to make it available through an information booklet, online portal and telephonic helpline number since past four to five months.
