Alchemist Township is planning to invest around Rs. 600 crore to develop this project. Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) India, a leading property consultant was the transaction partner for both the real estate firms for this deal.JLL India stated that Alchemist Township have purchased the land at Kolkata Riverside, a satellite township covering 262 acres being constructed on the banks of River Hooghly. JLL also declared that this is largest land transaction taken place in Kolkata, till date. The Managing Director of JLL said that Alchemist has refused to disclose the value of the deal but this is said to be largest land deal taken place between the two parties.He further added that this township project will integrate the latest features in green urban planning. Apart from housing units, the project will also include a 25 acre IT Park that would be completely constructed on the sustainable development parameters. It will also boast various commercial developments catering to service segment, finest infrastructure and modern lifestyle features like golf course facing residences and group housing on two of the acquired plots. Alchemist has chosen the site wisely in terms of location and land parcel level.The Managing Director of Highland Group said that they are contented to partner Alchemist Township to develop this project at Kolkata Riverside. Alchemist will be the only external entity to attain land for residential development of their project.
