Depending on this infrastructural development, the real estate market in Ulwe had boomed. But now that the authorities are thinking of scraping the airport project altogether, real estate investors in Ulwe have a good reason to be worried.The development of an airport would have meant that other infrastructural developments like good roads would have followed. That would have been followed by other developments. Slowly the area would have developed entire. Thus the airport could have worked as a catalyst to growth. Ulwe stood a perfect hence to benefit from the airport project as it was located exactly south of the proposed project site and is equidistant from Kalambole and Dronagiri.At present Ulwe is a long way from any type of development. The place still needs basic infrastructure like drainage, water supply and network of roads. Bus service is not available though auto rickshaws are. According to local realtors the place will start to develop once people start to live there. At present it is an investment destination. But this basically gives rise to a chicken and egg situation. How and why will people start settling in a place where even the basic amenities required for life are not available? If people never settle there will there never be any growth of infrastructure in Ulwe?The development of the international airport would have solved all these problems. The project itself would have been reason enough for the development of amenities in the place and people could have settled with better ease.In such a tight situation real estate developer are looking to sell their inventories at high discount. Buyers can expect to receive beneficial deals in the resale market.
