The government of <strong>Andhra Pradesh<\/strong> and various other states, from past few years were coming up with various proposals to smoothen and simplify the process of public services; Meeseva is the outcome of the government initiatives. Meeseva was launched in July, 2011 with an aim to provide hassle-free government services to the citizens of Andhra Pradesh. The service centre is involved in different types of services like issuance of <strong>birth, caste and income certificate<\/strong>, land details online payment of water, electricity, telephone bill, property tax payment etc. Initially, Meeseva offered around 12 services now recently it has crossed the 100 mark.Today, a common man can easily obtain G2C services with the help of e-governance commenced by Meeseva. The web portal of this government service centre is proved to very effective and beneficial for the people. The National e-Governance Plan to computerize the government services allows to reach the services to the remote areas and villages too. The main objective of e-governance is to bring the public services closer to the citizens. The project is self-sustainable and highly replicable. The project provides efficient, simplified, transparent and responsive services. The website offers payment services, <strong>online applications forms<\/strong> etc. The online payment services are highly secured and maintain privacy.
