During this 10 day festival, people used to unite and with enthusiasm, decorate pandals, prepare prasads and welcome Ganpati with the beats of Dhol-tasha (traditional music). The tradition still continues and same passion towards this wisdom deity can be seen in todays generation too. Every street down especially in Maharashtra and other parts of India witnesses the presence of the divine Lord Ganesha during this festive season. Not only pandals but even homes and housing societies welcome Ganpati with fun and fervor. Organizing Ganpati festival is a best way to bring unity and peace within the community. You can celebrate Ganesh festival by constructing a pandal, decorating it, bringing adorable Ganesh idol in society premises, managing events, prayers etc.Let\u2019s see how to make your Ganesh festival more exciting and happening:<\/em>Choose perfect location for pandal:<\/strong>Constructing a pandal, requires lot of space, therefore it is necessary to choose a convenient location to build the pandal. Take permission from the society first. The pandal should not hamper the movement in the society. Leave space for the vehicles to move freely, it should not create any congestion.Task allocation:<\/strong>Once pandal is constructed, decoration starts. You can appoint some volunteers, who will take care of Ganpati decoration<\/a>. Allot each group work like collecting fund from the society for shopping decorative material, Ganesh idol and other pooja elements. Some of them can unite together and start the decoration work, you can opt for lighting decoration or flower arrangement both looks spectacular. One of the groups will look after the event management. Some of the members should always be present in the pandal, to safeguard the idol as it will be ornamented with expensive jewels. Mythological plays are apt for this occasion. You can organize dancing, singing, cooking programs and reward the best one at the last day of the celebration. Make sure that you keep the volume-level moderate and do not disturb the neighborhood. Celebrate a friendly festival rather than creating uproar. Set proper timing for the events; don\u2019t drag it too late as it will annoy the senior citizens of the society and neighborhood.Eco-friendly Utsav:<\/strong>You can integrate eco-friendly concept and celebrate healthy festival. Instead of POP idols, society members can make an effort to bring eco-friendly idol made up of natural colors and organic materials which will easily get dissolved during the immersion. Natural colors have less chemicals. Avoid using plastic materials for decoration. Use materials that can be reused.Immersion of the idol:<\/strong>The last day of the festival is tear-jerking as we have to depart from our beloved Ganpati. To end the festival with a happy note, avoid immersion of the idol in lakes or rivers as this water is used for drinking purpose. The chemicals are harmful and would pollute the water.
