The state received eight percent more than the total allocation of Rs. 31500 crore. This statement was made in context to the query by one of the Rajya Sabha member\u2019s of Gujarat.The minister further added that the total allocation for Gujarat for the mission phase 2005-12, under Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme for Small and Medium Towns (UIDSSMT) is Rs. 351.82 crore. This amount is 3 percent more than total allocation which is Rs.11400 crore.Out of 52 projects under UIDSSMT, 35 projects are said to be completed in Gujarat according to the Minister. 52 projects will be permitted for various cities and towns in the state. The estimated cost for the projects would be Rs. 438.14 crore with additional central assistance (ACA) commitment of Rs. 350.51 crore.The minister said that 6 projects have been approved for Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Surat during the transition period when JNNURM was extended by 2 years.
