The first quarter ended on June, 2013 witnessed a heavy growth of over 50 crore in the revenue generation and earnings of Sobha Developers.Net profit of the real estate firm ascended to 50.1 crore, against the preceding years net profit of 45 crore in the same quarter. With a growth of 11.8 per cent, revenue of the firm expanded to Rs 475 crore in the first quarter of the current year.Last year, the revenue generated by the firm was estimated to Rs 425 crore and in the current year it observed the increase of about 50 crore in the revenue.Vice president of Sobha developers, JC Sharma said that despite the slowdown in the Indian real estate and decreasing rupee value, but the sales of our project sustained a good momentum. The company observed absorption of 0.92 million sq ft in its new supply which was 0.84 million sq ft in the previous year.Sobha developers launched two new projects with 0.40 million sq ft area along with two contractual projects measuring 0.13 million sq ft area. Sobha developers have launched 0.20 million sq ft of plotted development project and a commercial project on St Mark\u2019s road with 0.36 million sq ft area in Bangalore.Sobha developer is planning to spread its wings to tier 3 cities like Kochi and Kozhikode in the current year.
