It has become the latest buzz among most of the real estate companies around India.\u00a0 The companies spend around Rs. 25 billion yearly on publicity. Based on the various estimates presented by the industrial delegates, the amount spend across media and digital marketing accounts for around 25% with a share of Rs. 625 crore.With the point of view of the current slowdown in the real estate sector, the builders are trying to cut-back expenses for advertising which is caused by the conventional promotion methods like newspaper, print media, brochures, flex, flyers etc. The realty players are switching to the digital means as it is cost-effective and most of the youngsters prefer this method. Youngster spend most of the time surfing therefore this is the best medium to target the young customers.The real estate companies are following marketing tools like search engine optimization, search engine marketing, realistic photography, interactive walkthroughs, 3D visualizations and also project promotion through social media, blogs, forum or real estate portals. The industry is also focusing on the changing preference of the customers. Most of the people find digital marketing find effective as it is convenient and interactive. The developers are also able to attract larger number of audience as the project details are available to the potential customers on the World Wide Web.Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) conducted a survey during May- July, 2013 where about 2,000 real estate companies, developers, builders were present at the urban centres of Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune to take a feedback on digital marketing technique. 3D walkthroughs and renders have been used by 45% of the real estate dealers. This has helped to increase the sales. Digital marketing have helped to cut down the marketing costs and also lead to higher return on investment.
