In this write up I am helping you with some tips to make your journey to Mumbai a safe, healthy and full of enjoyment.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do proper planning before you start your journey like making a budget, fixing the dates and the travel agent, mode of transportation, hotel to stay in, length of stay, etc. in order to avoid last minute hassle.<\/li>\n<li>Advance bookings of hotels help you save time and energy as Mumbai is a humid place and if you are not used to it and its maddening crowd it is better to make prior arrangements.<\/li>\n<li>Checking reviews online for hotels, restaurants, location, etc. can help in taking the right decision. If you do not have much time to do all this you can also take help of travel agents or tour planner who provides complete end to end tour facility.<\/li>\n<li>If you have any medical condition then make sure you have all the required medicines with you. it is also recommended to list out medical facilities of Mumbai where you can go in case of emergency. Having a first aid box with you is always good. If you are travelling with small kids then having numbers of paediatrician and necessary medicines is also important.<\/li>\n<li>Though Mumbai is a place for foodie but it is better to take care of your stomach if you have a sensitive stomach. There are a range of fine restaurants available in every area of city along with very reasonable local food joints but keeping in mind the hygiene factor you can choose your way as you do not want to spoil your enjoyment of journey.<\/li>\n<li>It is important to know the climate of city where you are travelling before travel as it can be very different from your home town. Thus you can get ready to face it. Mumbai is a humid place and you get to sweat a lot and must need to take shower in the evening to refresh you. So pack your clothing according to that along with sun cream, hats and sun glasses to protect your body from harsh weather.<\/li>\n<li>Drink plenty of water while travelling in Mumbai as your body loses a lot of water due to sweating climate.<\/li>\n<li>For safety reasons it is recommended that you do not carry any valuables with you like gold ornaments, lots of cash or any other important documents if you want a tension free travel. Traveller\u2019s cheque is a good option.<\/li>\n<li>While commuting in local trains or buses be very careful of chain snatchers or pickpockets as they get good chance in a jam packed local train or bus or even in a crowded place.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid peak hours if you want to travel in local trains as they are flooded with commuters. Trains are the best way to commute in Mumbai in least time as buses, taxies or auto rickshaws can take too much time to reach the destination if there is a traffic jam.<\/li>\n<li>It is better not to take lift from strangers in any case as it may not be good for your safety<\/li>\n<li>Do not let your taxi man to take extra passengers on route or before your destination.<\/li>\n<li>Do not travel alone in the new city as you may be an easy target for criminals. It is better to travel in groups or with family.<\/li>\n<li>In night if police stops you it is your right to demand for a woman cop in case you are a women and travelling alone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Though Mumbai city is considered a safe city as compared to other metro cities of country as you will find people twenty four hours on the road.
