Let me take you to one of the most popular beaches of not only Mumbai but of India known as Juhu Beach. Situated at the western suburbs of Mumbai city in Ville Parle area Juhu Beach is quite frequently visited by locals, outsiders, tourists from India and abroad and celebrities. The distance of this beach from the city centre is approximately 18 kilometres but once you reach here you don\u2019t feel the distance. Alternatively you can also call this beach the Celebrity Beach because of the fact that it is attached to locality that has homes of many celebrity stars and thus you should not wonder if you find any celebrity jogging or exercising on this beach in the early hours of the day.The beach is also a perfect location of many movie shootings and you may catch one or two while exploring the beach. Though this beach is really beautiful and the environment is soothing but do not expect it to be calm as it is one of the most visited beaches of Mumbai city. But you may enjoy the serenity of this beach in early hours of day.As we all know that Indians can never be separated from food and that is why you will find several food stalls every place you go in India. juhu Beach also houses many small eateries serving local delicacies along with street food. Bhel puri, pani puri, pav bhaji, ragda pattice, vada pav, sweet corn, etc. are to name a few local delicacies you will easily find at the beach.In summer season ice bolls (barf ka gola) is also on offer here at local food joints. People of Mumbai usually come here to relax and relieve their hectic days\u2019 stress through the soothing sound of waves and cool breeze coming from sea shore. Enjoying the street snacks is an addition to relaxation therapy for Mumbaikars. If you come here with family and small kids this beach also offers horse rides, camel rides, donkey rides, snake charmers, acrobats, dancing monkeys and other such activities. Some groups also organise yoga sessions at the beach if you are a yoga enthusiast then enquire about it. In the early mornings usually you can see people jogging, walking, skipping as well as cycling at the beach.The sunset at the beach brings out the best possible picture of nature and a perfect environment to meditate but the crowd may not let you be along in the evenings. So it is better to enjoy the red coloured sky at early morning when sun rises with new energy. At the southern end of the beach many luxurious hotels and apartments are located while at the northern end of the beach the Gandhi Gram is situated. This is place where you can notice children playing cricket, football, basketball and other sports. Just close to the beach there are some big brands restaurants like Little Italy, Mangi Ferra, Don Giovanni, Penne, etc. several pubs as well as discotheques are also located in the area to entertain youngsters. The beach is quite safe except monsoon season as during rains high tides are expected and thus it can be dangerous.<strong>Best time to explore Juhu Beach<\/strong>It is recommended that one should visit the beach during winters between October to February if you are not used to the humid hot summer of Mumbai city. In winters the weather is usually pleasant and humidity is less.<strong>Accessibility<\/strong>Juhu Beach is located at a convenient location which can be easily reached by road, rail or air. One can use buses, taxies, auto rickshaw or private vehicle to reach here.
