It is very well connected to Pune City and Pimpri &#8211; Chinchwad City by PMPML buses. Shiroli Chandus village, located 6 km north of Chakan, has been identified as a probable site for the proposed Pune International Airport.Due to many industrial units which has come up and many more industries coming up has increased the job opportunities has led to increase in population in Chakan.
