The city is actually considered as one of the most affordable residential real estate destination in India but the city showcases more than half of the housing projects that fall above Rs. 50 lakh bracket whereas cities like Chennai and Bangalore has only quarter of the projects that are above Rs.50 lakh.The report further added that out of the total under-construction units in the city, 51% of the houses in Hyderabad are priced below Rs. 50 lakh and 49% of the total projects are rated above Rs. 50 lakh. \u00a0The research also showed that Bangalore boasts 77% of total under-construction houses that are below Rs. 50 lakh and in Chennai it is 71%.The report finally concluded that among the top 6 cities in India, Bangalore has been declared as the most affordable location for housing. On the other hand, Mumbai was stated as the costliest realty destination in India. But if we consider some aspects, Hyderabad is also an affordable location.According CREDAI Chairman, as compared to other prime cities, Hyderabad property prices are reasonable. If the core areas of Hyderabad and Chennai are compared then Chennai will be seen as an expensive city.Some of the experts also mentioned that due to increase in the cost of raw materials, the housing prices have increased across the city. One of the builders also suggested that the current market scenario is not favorable for the buyers. The number of affordable units is less therefore it is pushing up the cost.
