It is famous for its beautiful walkway and sunset point. This is actually a 4.3 kilometres long six lane concrete road parallel to the sea line. The official name of this road is Nataji Subhash Chandra Bose Road but popularly called Marine Drive. The other name of this magnificent sea line is Sonapur as called by locals of city. This natural bay in c shape connects Nariman Point to Babulnath area of Mumbai. This area is located at the bottom of Malabar Hills.The beauty of this place is at max in the night when the lights along the drive illuminate the drive giving it a look of pearl necklace. Thus it is also called Queen\u2019s Necklace. The scenic beauty of the place doubles by the palm trees lined up parallel to the sea line. Spending time here at dusk mesmerizes your senses with the rhythmic music of waves. You can see people strolling or seating at the shore enjoying sunset. The recent addition to this Marine Drive stretch is Nana- Nani Park which is like a paradise for elderly as the environment is fabulous. The stretch has the sea line on one side while on the other side is the line of residences of rich Parsi communities, celebrities and other such high profile buildings including Five star hotels. This area has the highest real estate value in entire country and fourth highest in the world. So now if you visit Mumbai you should not miss the opportunity to experience the most premier location of India. You may be surprised to know that Marine Drive is second in the world having maximum art deco buildings at sea front. Miami in USA is having the maximum number of Art deco buildings at sea line in the world.At the northern end of Marine Drive is the Chowpatty Beach which is the most popular place of Mumbaikars\u2019 for its local fast food Bhel Puri, Pav Bhaji and such other items. This beach is crowded mostly in the evening as many small vendors with their mobile shops seen here. Walkeshwar is quite posh locality near this beach. It is named after the famous temple of Walkeshwar in the area.
